This all came about from a spiritual gifts survey. I know, right?! Crazy. But it's true. I took this survey and it tells me my gifts are faith and knowledge and you know what I am not surprised! I have always said I have so much faith I could give buckets away and still never run out. As for knowledge, I love learning things. I want to dissect words and find their meanings. Whether it is a sentence, scripture, or even the spoken word. I have a desire to tear that bad boy up! What could the author/person mean? Does this mean what I think it does or maybe it is something else? I just can't get enough!
Now here is where I found a Dilemma. What am I supposed to do with these gifts? My husband got leadership and help/service, and well he is doing leadership, service stuff all the time. He is full time paramedic and a volunteer fireman. How do I work with faith? You can't just go apply for a faith job. Knowledge? Um.... okay I could may work in a library maybe or a teacher, a scholar? Not likely going to happen. So I did some digging and I found this wonderful site here.
When you click on the highlighted word you are taken to a website detailing each gift, the typical personality traits, and how to grow in them.
Which brings us to here; for people who have the gift of faith it says we should write our experience out and share them with others. This is what I plan to do. I want to share with you my stories of faith and look into scripture to go along with the life lessons I have learned which then brings us to knowledge. Those who are given this gift are called to share it with others. So here I am laying it all out here.
I want this to always be a discussion so please be open and feel free to share your thoughts and opinions. Have you ever taken the spiritual gifts survey? If you haven't the words spiritual gifts survey when clicked should take you to the survey and I hope to hear back from you and what you were blessed with. If you have taken this what are your top two? Were you just a surprised as I was or are you living your gifts out like my lovely husband?
I will be honest with you if you have never taken this survey be sure to take your time and don't over think your response. If I felt like I wasn't' sure I would put the lowest number as possible, but the 'oh yeah I do that' moments I would put the highest. As I was taking the survey I was starting to get a little discouraged because my scores were a little low. I started to think maybe I didn't get a gift but that is not true! So keep going, you have a gift, it is in there and you may be surprised to learn which one you have.
@Melissa, that is great! I love those gifts.
I just took a spiritual gifts test last night! My top three were Wisdom, Teaching, and Helping. I do LOVE to teach :)
