Thank you for stopping in! I am so happy you decided to swing by and visit me here at Be Still My Soul. I am excited to share what I know and to learn right along with you all the benefits of understanding the Bible and God's word on a deeper level. I started this blog all because I wanted to share all I have learned and to put it in one place for others to find. A lot of the material I share will be because I did leg work to find it. I was surprised at all the knowledge I wanted was not already out here! Shocked really. So from my laptop to yours I bring you my faith, knowledge, and love of learning the Word of God. I am in love with learning everything I can from the Word of God. Why? Well to be honest I have discovered that every time I read it I discover something new.

 

My Backstory

Career day for me in school was such a drag. I never knew what I wanted, I wanted to learn EVERYTHING! Picking a degree for college, yeah I did it but it wasn't meant to be so I don't follow that path. In time I found my place and it is here at home with my 3 wonderful kids and a super handsome husband.

I quit my job after my third child was born and now I am a stay at home mom. After much prayer and meditation we decided the best course of education for our children was to homeschool them. I love it! I get to spend all day learning right along with them. My days are packed full of lessons, lesson plans, house work and field trips, and the occasional doctors visits. My husband suffers from severe allergies and adolescent glaucoma and two of my three children are hard of hearing. I don't feel sorry for me it is my life and I love every minute of it.

I like to refer to myself as a lover AND a fighter, and why not? I am a goofball at heart yet I can be serious. I mean life is too hard and cold to stay stiff. So relax your brow and pull your shoulders down from your ears, close yours eyes and take a deep breath...... Feels good right? I am honest in everything I say and sometimes I think my filter is broken but I hope you love me as much as I love you.

 

My Hopes

It is my hope that as I learn more and grow more in God and his wisdom I am able to help you grow as well. I hope to teach others that you don't have to be shouting, dancing, or in a dark room just to speak to God that it can in fact be done anywhere at anytime. I hope we can grow together and learn more than we ever thought possible.

 

My Goals

I want to help teach you that you can have peace of mind throughout the day or night. To give you, my readers,a better understand of the Bible and what Jesus has to say. My goal is to share my love of learning the Word and teach others that it isn't just a way to center yourself, but it is a way to connect to something much bigger. I am truly fascinated with the fact that every time I read this book I learn a little more and my goal is to share this with you.
